I previously played this on someone else’s PS5, but now I have my own. It’s a fun, if basic, platformer that’s a great showcase for the PS5. I imagine Astro Bot is a lot more fleshed out, so I’m excited to play that eventually.

They’re the same price, no? Though I‘m not totally sure what it was like for XVI when it first came out on PS5.

Metroid Prime Remastered (Replay)

The Metroid Prime marathon begins. This game is obviously incredible, but I don’t love the bosses. They’re very damage spongy and repetitive toward the end of the game especially (I hate Omega Pirate). Still a great game though.

Not a big fan of this game. I appreciate a lot about it (music, story, etc.) but it‘s such a slog to get through. There’s too much grinding, and the random encounters are awful. Looking forward to playing the next game now that I’m done.

I feel like this game is often considered bad, but I thought it was pretty good. The dungeons can be grindy but that’s it really. I did play the 3D Classics version. It does seem like it’s better, but I probably wouldn’t have hated playing the NES version.

The Neverhood for sure. The game is usually pretty silly, but the first person sections are very unsettling and eerie. Claymation in general is also inherently a little unsettling to me.
