Coaching might be holding Leafs back but that’s not what’s doing it so far this season - it’s injuries, losing 2 top 4 defence man and goaltending that’s allowed most above expected. That’s it. You aren’t getting coached through that.

We really need to do a full break down of penalty inconsistencies. The Leafs have had MULTIPLE games where the other team has had 3 straight PPs. I don’t think we realize how big a statistical anomaly that is.

Leafs were called for 3 straight garbage penalties last game and are now called for 2 straight ones tonight.
The Leafs should’ve gone nuclear on officiating years ago. If they weren’t up 2-0 I’d say Berube should take one for the team and get tossed.

Honestly you could write an essay about the media attention around the Leafs. Like you can legit find fault in philosophy behind Carlo/Laughton deals but like literally anyone would make those deals over the Newhook or Dach trades and yet we still don’t hear a thing about worse trades.

I do not get the Joshua hate tbh. If this guy had like 8-10 points in 22 games I’d say that’s a steal for a 3rd line 3 mil guy. My only biggest complaint is he’s gotta actually score with more regularity at some point but like there is half a roster that isn’t scoring and isn’t expected to.
