If this government was really serious about growth, it would start negotiating a new UK-EU trade deal with a bespoke customs union at its heart.

This is the single biggest lever ministers could pull to turbocharge our economy. The refusal of the Chancellor to even consider is worrying.

Decades of research shows that expanding highways increases travel times. Some cities are reducing their highways in response.
Why Do We Keep Widening Highways If It Doesn’t Reduce Traffic?

According to the City of Paris, in the last 10 years 150,000 trees have been planted and 45 hectares of parks created in the city, to improve quality-of-life today, and also to help the city adapt to and manage summer heatwaves of 50℃ (122F) by 2050.

On top of everything else Paris has been doing.

Jeez Labour...tighten up these horrors....
NEW 🚨 Britain's electoral laws are broken - but successive governments have done nothing

Musk's proposed $100million donation to Nigel Farage shows we are on the cusp of a real crisis for British democracy

But it can be fixed. Here's how, by me

Musk’s $100m to Farage will break our democracy
Keir Starmer needs to fix Britain’s broken electoral laws now - if he doesn’t, we will all suffer the consequences

The way Louise Haigh MP is being treated by parts of the established media and political classes over a minor spent conviction is like watching a modern day witch trial.

A female MP in a Cabinet post, who is doing a good job and also not afraid to speak her mind. Far too dangerous for the Tory-biased media. Something had to be found to discredit her. Job done, now on to the next one.

According to these figures, Labour seems to have blown it. The support for their pro-Brexit agenda simply doesn't exist. Pro-Brexit voters prefer the Tories and Reform. Labour only have a majority together with Rejoin parties.
