It's a beautiful day, bright sunshine, with a fairly stiff breeze. A quick walk along the prom to clear the cobwebs.

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

Wow! Not sure who he was, but there was a Tory MP on Channel 4 news.

Basically, he said that the economic issues were down to the British Public that voted for Brexit. Not really to do with the Tories who put the agreement together

Just arrived to pick up SWMBO's mother.

On the approach to the last roundabout, loads of Union Flags and England national flags. The roundabout itself is absolutely covered in flags.

Michelle Mone can be expelled from the House of Lords by a simple majority vote in the Commons, and then in the House of Lords.

Like if she needs to go.
RT if she has to go.

Then he should be kicked out with extreme prejudice.

He should never have been given the job in the first place.
Sir Robbie Gibb says he has ‘no intention of resigning’

Then the the public who pay the BBC honcho responsible for ‘impartiality’, having been an early founder of GB News, owner of the Jewish Chronicle when its standards evaporated, should make sure he’s sacked. What a rip off

I posted a comment on Facebook about the number of bots promoting the Russian side of Trump's plan.

I've since had a large number of similar accounts attacking me.

Someone is definitely spending a lot of time, effort and money to push an anti-Ukraine agenda.

Went out canvassing today for a local by-election.

Met 1 voter who was quite proud to say he was voting Reform; and about 3 others who seemed quite angry about voting that way. No Conservative candidate this time.

Probably half a dozen who didn't know how they would vote.
November 20, 2025 at 9:50 PM
ITV showing a report on the proposed changes to Human Rights Act. So of course, they ask Reform what they think.

Let's not pretend that this is anything other than a policy to create division, and stoke racism.

I turned off Politics West this morning. Karen Smyth (MP Bristol South) just talked over everyone, didn't listen to a thing that was being said.

This is not politics.

Just had a comment from someone that clearly didn't understand what "freedom of movement" actually meant in practical terms.

I wonder if it is because it was never explained to them in a way that they understood, or did they just not believe what they were told?

💙 Our Save Bristol Blue Glass petition has gone global!

With signatures from from as far away as New Zealand, there is clearly a lot of love for this iconic Bristol product.

But we need more Bristolians to sign the petition to be sure we get a debate at City Hall.

This handsome fellow is my partner's cat. We're not quite sure how old he is, but he has to be at least 18, possibly nearly 20.

Unfortunately, he's not been doing too well over the last 3-4 months.

Ed Davey and the Liberal Democrats accounts have posted a couple of articles on Facebook defending the BBC, and criticising Trump.

They've been inundated by fake accounts, attacking them.

Someone is spending a lot of time effort and money to do this.
November 11, 2025 at 9:17 AM
The news on LBC reporting on the BBC / Trump.

And of course, they had to get Farage in to talk about, but no other MP.

Bias? Too bloody right!

That WW2 veteran who says that winning the war "wasn't worth it" for the state we are now in is just plain wrong.

Naziism was an evil that caused the deaths of millions and the systematic murder of millions more. Defeating it was necessary.

We need to stop treating every old person as a holy sage.

Right Wingers / Republicans are losing their minds over Mamdani's win in NYC.

Their backers are spending a ton of money creating AI videos & pictures, insulting the people that voted for Mamdani. They're all over socials.

SWMBO's cat is at least 18 years old (probably a bit older).

He seems to be suffering from some form of cat dementia.

We clean out the litter tray, and he walks over, sniffs it, and then puts his front paws in the tray, back paws outside; and wees all over the floor.

Frustrating!

I hope the BBC will challenge Nigel Farage today over the economic damage caused by the Brexit he championed.

He needs to be held to account for the damage he's done instead of always being given an easy ride.
