Blog update: In February 1986, Andrew Eldritch reached the indie number one spot with a record put out to prohibit Wayne Hussey from using a Sisters of Mercy related band name. Effectively a legal block on 45, it's as dull as reading dense legislation, but the drama behind it; that's another story.

It's quietly reached this stage without my needing to promote it but a shout to my MAIN NOMINATION "365 Is My Number / The Message" by King Sunny Ade, am acoustic ditty where the bottom falls out and takes you into gorgeous ambient dubspace, first time I heard it I thought it must be a modern remix!

I had a fairly miserable realisation about AI and individual harm which is that for pro-AI people the assumption is that this technology is like the automobile - society will ultimately arrange itself around it, which includes tacitly accepting some level of mass casualties
