I do encourage people to stray from the recipe and salt / season the turkey beforehand.
I have tried it both ways and it’s so much more flavorful if you season it first (even if you have some crispy herbs you’ve gotta wipe off when it comes out). I also slather it in butter before cooking.

I'm curious why the Trump administration let this guy in. They should stop arresting lawn mowing and car wash guys and stop these guys from getting in the country in the first place.
CNN on the D.C. shooter: He came here from Afghanistan in 2021. He applied for asylum in December 2024, went through another vetting process, and was approved for asylum in April of this year under the Trump administration.
