Sad but resolute. I have horses, goats, chickens, dogs, a garden and grandkids. The older I get, the more radical I feel.

Greta Thunberg called out Russia and Israel, Pope Leo called out Russia and Israel, the late Jane Goodall called out Russia and Israel. Notice a pattern? Intelligent and heroic people stand against tyranny whether it is Russia or Israel.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers.

Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

The Trump administration helped bring back the Tate brothers (charged with rape and sexual trafficking), hosted Conor MacGregor (multiple allegations of sexual assault), and now invited Dom Lucre (horrific CSAM stuff) to the White House.

These are the people they're celebrating and defending.
Dom Lucre, who posted infamously horrific and wildly illegal child sexual abuse material to Twitter - and then had his account personally reinstated by Elon Musk - allegedly was recently invited to the White House.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.

It breaks your heart to read these cards.
ProPublica spoke to about 150 people who had lived in homeless encampments when cities cleared them out in “sweeps.” We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words.

This is what they wrote.

This is pistol. I was working in the barn yesterday and looked up to find her watching me. She is an escape artist and finds ways out of her pen and roams the yard. When she is done snacking on my flowers, she puts herself up.

Few people write about the phantasmagoric pathologies of Cold War liberalism more evocatively than Rick Perlstein. This piece traces an arc from the liberal JFK assassination fantasies (if only he'd lived everything would be different!) to RFK, Jr's bizarre MAHA world. prospect.org/politics/202...
The Magic Thinking of Kennedy-ism
The hero worship of the family of American royalty has a dark side: a tendency toward conspiracism that fits with the MAGA movement.

I woke up every morning to Morning Joe for years. I never liked Joe but put up with him because of the rest of crew. I will never watch it again and it’s a shame because there are some good people there.
I'm no fancy media executive, but it seems like the "liberal" cable network might want to have a three-hour morning show that's *not* hosted by a former Republican congressman who keeps sucking up to the incoming Republican president that all of their viewers voted against.
"That wasn't the sound of fear. That was the sound of civility" -- Joe Scarborough makes an impassioned defense of the decision he and Mika made to defend Fox News from David Frum as well as their meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago

Kash Patel has the very Trumpian quality of having done so many different horrifying/disqualifying things that some of them go under the radar.

For instance, this little tidbit about how Patel straight up lied to the Pentagon during a hostage rescue operation and put everyone involved in danger.
