I've seen a lot of apocalyptic thinking on social media today. Setbacks happen. Bad news will roll out bc bad people are trying to enact their bad plans. That doesn't mean it's "over" and "we're cooked." It makes zero difference in whether we continue to fight for democracy. We continue.

When the Cass Review came out last year, the NYT rushed to cover it complete with post notifications. After reviews in Germany and Utah came out supporting gender affirming care for trans youth, dead silence. You can be just as biased in what you don't cover as what you do.

Environmentalism without class struggle is recycling your soup cans while Elon Musk builds a data center outside Memphis to power Grok and it’s making an entire community of Black Americans sick.

I hope seeing Kilmar Abrego Garcia alive will convince some of you to stop preemptively declaring people dead. I know it comes from a place of fear, but cynicism and pessimism can demobilize people and lead folks to give up before a fight is lost. Let's not seed that attitude.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.
