A reminder: Russia signed a treaty with Ukraine in 1997, accepting that Crimea was part of Ukraine. In 2014 Russia infiltrated Crimea and seized it. Now Pres Trump proposes that Ukraine should accept the loss of Crimea, and blames Pres Zelenskyy for refusing this peace deal.

📚 Today is #WorldBookAndCopyrightDay, a chance to celebrate both the incredible stories that shape who we are, and the rights that ensure those authors are recognised, respected, and paid for their work. Now more than ever, we must make sure copyright is protected.

Yeah, the taxi adverts will be why people regularly die.

Not because we forced more traffic on to the roundabout by closing the alternative routes.
Adverts have been removed from the Plain roundabout following the successful campaign to persuade Oxford City Council not to renew consent. Objectors had said the adverts were distracting at an accident blackspot.

Presumably this was the plan all along and the spat with Zelenskyy in the White House the premeditated excuse.

🇪🇺🇬🇧 Through my first set of meetings in Brussels. The praise for Starmer is overwhelming: “What he has managed to do is not just good for him. It's good for all of us. Absolutely top notch. This is the UK at its best. The UK we have always admired.

Starmer tells Zelenskyy:

"As you heard from the cheers in the street outside, you have full backing in the United Kingdom... that is the people of the UK coming out to demonstrate how much they support you and the people of Ukraine."
