to be crystal clear about what they're doing here, Trump & Bondi are putting it in the public record via X that they're opening a new Epstein "investigation" (HEAVY air quotes around that one, natch) so that it impedes the release of any more materials by the DoJ.
Count the ways they’re corrupting DOJ: Presidents don’t direct AG’s to open criminal cases, especially ones designating only Dems for investigation when POTUS himself is involved. DOJ doesn’t publicize criminal investigations & the AG definitely doesn’t assign them on Twitter.

…but I’ll make an exception because I’m on the College GameDay set and (most of) you aren’t.

right, I simply cannot exert the energy required to get that mad about people catching three day suspensions

they just gave you a free vacation from the timeline. imo that’s a beautiful gift.
bluesky needs to find a better way to handle these things, but it's tough to see it treated like it's a social justice issue when there's so much real shit going on.

Years ago I was suspended on Twitter for inviting Marco Rubio to swallow ten D batteries, which I don’t see how it could be a threat; he and I were not even in the same room and I have at most six D batteries on hand

This is where I think far too many Dem centrists get their ideas about what progressives believe and run on.
Like centrists complaining that Harris ran a campaign focused on trans rights. They get their version of reality from Ted Cruz ads and Uncle Frank on Facebook, rather than from her actual campaign.

Yes because republicans keep telling them that Dems are running on defund when they’re not and appallingly centrist Dems believe it because they don’t bother to find out what progressives believe!

I've seen this kind if email style from higher-ups in business and there at least it feels like it's a version of the tech-ceo-fleece thing, like a flex that says "I'm the hands on type who writes my own email BUT am powerful enough that I don't have to be professional or businesslike"

A not-important thing these email drops have nevertheless left me thinking about: Do people type this way? Even on phones, I don’t get it. Why the random spaces? Is this text all copy-pasted from WordPerfect 5.1? I don’t care about people typing informally in emails and texts, but I’m so confused.

This is the most glamorous opening to an article about a white supremacist flattering journalist who lied to her readers and editors while having an affair with narcissistic crank who eats roadkill, swims in sewer water, will cause children to die, and is 50 years her senior that I've ever read.
