Legislating that ignition interlock devices be installed in all cars would pretty much eliminate drunk driving, but it's always reactive instead of proactive when it comes to drivers killing us.

times like these i look to The Simpsons episode Treehouse of Horror VI "Attack of the 50-Foot Eyesores" when Lisa and Paul Anka sing “Just don't look! Just don't look!" to get people to turn away from the monsters rampaging the town and the lack of attention defeats the monsters and saves the town

I suspect the MAGA government decided to launch all these Bluesky accounts tonight to try to bait people in advance of No Kings.

These people have incurable 4chan brain and this is how they operate.

Block them. Do not engage. Do not give them what they want.

Perfect propaganda for the auto industry

-e-scooter crash=struck by drivers
-raising safety concerns=not for cars, for scooters
-not wearing a helmet=blame the victim
-urging a ban (on scooters not cars)
-concerned about use of e-scooters by teens commuting to school=drive your kids to school
Two children injured in separate e-scooter crashes in Toronto
In June and July 2024 alone, SickKids recorded 16 e-scooter injuries, more than triple the number seen during the same period in 2023.

A few other tax grabs we might consider abolishing:

- fine for not paying TTC fare
- fine for using drugs in public after the government shut down the OPS
- fine for living in a tent in a park

All capitulation for drivers

-bigger and more visible signage to let drivers know where automated speed enforcement cameras are located
-limit the number of speeding tickets a driver can be issued

Just bring back John Tory already. Useless and spineless.

Caught 2 people breaking 5/7 of your rules!

-not looking left or right
-not visible in those dark clothes
-distracted by eating
-not wearing helmets
-put themselves in danger even with the right of way

I’m going to assume this article is about the rampant scourge of dangerous driving - drivers killing and injuring cyclists without any consequences? Or is it about how cops spend all their time policing cyclists in High Park and none on real crimes while bleeding the city dry with pay rises?
