Hello! Looking for my people. I love #nature especially #flowers & #oceans. I enjoy #reading #library #books & #audiobooks. I enjoy #baking & #knitting & love to see others’ #knit, #crochet and #crossstitch projects. I also have fun with #crafts that include #watercolors and #acrylicpainting.
I finished the stocking #knit along. I made a few changes to the Arne and Carlos pattern at the end by making some little yellow and green flowers because I wanted more green in the stocking and overall thought it balanced colors better. #knitting 🧶

My latest stocking progress and I’m only one day behind. Since I really want more green in it as there is only one section so far, I’m waiting to see what the next pattern section looks like as maybe I will #knit it there. 🧶

I was cruising along in a good knitting rhythm when I thought, when is the heel going to be placed? This is an awfully long foot. Then I discovered the pattern has a line that uses an arrow to indicate heel position. There were no instructions written and I had to find video info about placement.

I finally ironed and framed this piece Clearly excited to hang it on a wall too. I started this Dec 28 last year and finished in September, working on it a little at a time and not dedicated. Definitely got it done in time for Christmas 2015. Pattern from a cross stitch magazine published Dec ‘24

In lieu of cross stitch, I did some knitting on the stocking pattern by Arne and Carlos. This is my third year making stockings and this year, five yarn colors are needed. This KaL started in October and I’m behind because I was waiting on a yarn order (only to abandon it). I’m at 60 rows completed

If you’re trying to figure out what to give each other this holiday season?

It’s food. Give soups, teas, coffees and fruit. Make sure everyone you know is eating.

Two weeks of work on this project now. I’m guessing based on my progress that this is going to take another four weeks minimum.

I’ve now worked on this project for a week. It is a small village, but mostly I’ve worked on snowy sections and trees. The three colors in the trees are harder than I thought they would be, but they are trees, so as long as I can see the branches, I’m not sweating any errors (I don’t see ‘em).

Started a new #crossstitch project. It’s probably going to take me more than one hundred hours. Here is part of the roof of the central house - and this took 3 hours. Grays & white on white #AIDA are really a night time challenge for me, even with a strong light. This was designed by Durene Jones.

I need to try these! I love chai and I love oatmeal cookies, and these are cream-filled.

Deep, rich, oaty with rich warm chai masala notes. These cookies are for those who love a whisper of chai and harbor a sweet tooth.

CA: due to recent USPS changes, mail in ballots in some places may not be postmarked the day they are mailed but will instead be postmarked a day later.

Ballots must be postmarked by election day to be counted.

Mail in your ballot early or use a ballot drop box to make sure your voice is heard.

Let me be clear. As someone who has been professionally involved with the biodefense / biosecurity sector for nearly 20 years, and has worked on biological risk analysis for Covid-19 since early 2020, reducing one's risk of being infected is not health anxiety. It's just smart.
