Ugh and I'm putting this on #TherapistSky because therapists, if you're not into doing group work (I'm SO not) consider how TTRPG with a good GM might get you right in the tender bits in spite of your best intentions.
I have been part of an Invisible Sun gaming group for almost two years now, and annoyingly, my effort to create a character who was basically "Not a Mary Sue/Self-Insert" has turned out to still be a vehicle for badly-needed personal growth. SO ANNOYING.

I can’t & won’t tell anyone what to do, but I’ll gently suggest if you’re already feverishly tracking everything this incoming administration does & says & every piece of lobotomized court intrigue you’ll lose your mind right about when you need it most. Go paint some model figurines or something.

Please check in with your therapist friends and offer compassion when they need to set boundaries right now. Help them set boundaries right now. We’re trying very hard to hold space for our clients while still having space for everyone else, and ourselves. Be kind. Have patience.
