From VS Code to Helix
A Rustacean colleague kept singing Helix's praises. I discarded it because he's much smarter than I am, and I only ever use vim when I need to fiddle with files on a server. I like when things "Just Work" and didn't want to bother learning how to use Helix nor how to configure it.

When people call for “censorship resistance” in social networks, I’m not sure they realise how unpleasant a social network without filtering and takedowns would be
most people don’t realize how much we clean up compared to how much slips through. watching logs of stuff getting actioned is kind of insane.

I used to think Kubernetes was complex machinery solving scalability problems I would never have. I was wrong.
Kubernetes has less moving parts than my handmade deployments and is sturdier than my hand written playbooks.

I wanted to move my services from a costly VPS to a Raspberry Pi in my living room.

I’m sorry. You can all be mad at journalists for this or whatever. And maybe in some cases it’s deserved. But this is a high-risk profession that’s dying. There’s little support for most working journalists who still have jobs.
