To be honest, I really don't buy the argument that AI won't be successful in making things like movies and TV shows.
It almost certainly will.
Not because I think it will be 'good art'.
All of the things that people say AI can't do well, the depth of story, of acting, of 'humanity', of creativity.

More than one thing can be true at a time.
The current levels of AI infrastructure and development spending will almost certainly not be profitable for most of the companies doing it.
But that spending **will** massively increase AI capacity and ability, and those things aren't going to go away.

AI denialism is the leftist version of climate change denialism.
