Waiting for the Big Dark to start this weekend. Make no mistake, I’ll still be outside running as much as I can. But this time of year it becomes about avoiding the rain whenever possible. And if it’s not possible, then it’s not, and then it’s time to dress properly and get ‘er done in the rain

Doubt it will happen but IF UW were to win today, I’d be in a rare position to at least be like ‘At least it was UW’ and not TTUN or someone else. Don’t get it twisted Ohio State is in my DNA so my loyalty is there but my 🏠 is here and so is my ❤️.

Just had a convo with a conservative friend. If you’re not sure how that’s possible, well history is all I’ll say. But Jesus H. it reminds me how seriously fuuuukt we are. When people ask why America isn’t doing something…well, what are we to do? It’s past irreconcilable at this point.

Looking out the window yesterday and now today I saw that a lovely hummingbird is frequenting the woods nearby. Close enough to identify as a hummingbird but too far to get a usable pic to share or confirm if it was an Anna’s so you’ll have to take my word for it that it was there and beautiful.

Can’t make it to any protest today for personal safety reasons but so glad it looks like it’s going to rain cats and dogs on that stupid parade in DC. With everyone in spirit but I’ll have to settle for going on a #NoKings 10 miler instead.

Some days I’m like ‘Look dude just let me live my Cascadian life and let me and my family be in peace. Stay tf out of everyone’s lives.’ But days like recently it’s a lot more sadness and full on rage. I hate what they’ve done to all of us.

Second attempt to finish this distance running after having my calves cramp up around mile 9 last week and walking last 2 miles. Slow but steady & got it done today. Chose to avoid same mistakes from last week and decided to carry water and Gu this time. I knew better. Want to get back under 2 hrs.
