The head of the FDA tells us they're taking a look at the dietary guidelines and that the food pyramid is out.

The food pyramid has not been in use since 2011 when MyPlate replaced it.

PASSED COMMITTEE! More mothers die due to childbirth in Tennessee than in any other state in the nation. Sen. London Lamar is aiming to reverse this trend with Senate Bill 44, which would bolster doula birth support in Tennessee.

Her bill passed out of committee today.

Since a friend is currently hospitalized, it's a good time to note that, as of February 8, 2025, the CDC estimated that in this influenza season there have been at least 29 million cases, 370,000 hospitalizations, and 16,000 deaths (including 68 children) *from flu*. Not too late to get a vax.
