Fighting to rebuild Tennessee’s middle class
In Tennessee, 1 out of 10 people do not have health coverage. Nationally, Republicans refuse to renew tax credits that make coverage affordable for 100s of thousands of our families.

By Jan. 1, more than a million Tennesseans could be without health coverage.

Does the GOP care?

Shameful. There should be consequences when public officials defraud taxpayers. But Donald Trump & the Republican Party believe they are above the law.

When we say the Republican Party has rigged Tennessee's economy against workers, this is what we mean:

Low-income & middle class families pay a higher effective tax rate than billionaires & big corporations. Other than the rich, who supports this?!

THREE days left until SNAP funding runs out. Meanwhile, Gov. Lee sits idly by as Tennessee families face empty pantries. Reminder- House Dems have called on the governor to call a special session to address this vital funding.

While Gov. Bill Lee is busy pointing fingers, Tennessee Dems and other state leaders are taking action to keep children from going hungry. This shouldn’t be that hard: Kids deserve to eat and Tennessee families deserve affordable health coverage.
A majority of states have taken formal steps to protect vital SNAP benefits which are set to run out on Nov 1st due to the federal gov shutdown. Meanwhile, Gov. Lee currently has no plan to protect over 690,000 Tennesseans who rely on the program to help put food on their tables.

Thousands of Tennesseans who work full-time for big, profitable corporations — like Walmart, McDonald’s and FedEx — qualify for food assistance.

It’s absolutely right to ask why Tennessee taxpayers are being forced to subsidize corporate greed and their poverty wages.
October 27, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Plain and simple betrayal. Trump is promoting corporate greed when he should be defending Tennessee ranchers.

The Big Four meatpacking giants will gladly take cheap Argentina beef to undercut American ranchers who produce a safer, higher quality beef.
