If Arsenal concede fewer than three goals against Chelsea, they will equal the record of 107 straight games in all competitions without conceding three goals in a match set by an English club (Man Utd October 2016 to August 2018).

Beyond Man City, other clubs which profit directly from emirati patronage should ask themselves some inconvenient questions; and if they do not of their own accord, we fans should be pressuring them into doing so. These other clubs very much include Arsenal FC.

Ideal outcome 3-3 draw, two red cards each, a massive fight that sees both teams deducted points and Haaland and van Dijk injuring each other in a freak clash where their man-buns get tangled up in an aerial challenge that sees them out for the season.

Arsenal have won their last eight matches without conceding in all competitions, the joint-longest run ever by an English top-flight side (also Preston between January-September 1889 and Liverpool between January-February 1920).

Arsenal have gone 15 games from the start of the season, conceding just three goals - the outright best defensive start to a campaign by any English club in history after 15 matches.

7 - Arsenal have won seven consecutive games without conceding in all competitions for just the second time in the club’s history, previously doing so between September and October 1987 (also a run of 7). Serious.

Main thing I’ve enjoyed this year how much we control games. Not as much verve yet but the control may be even stronger than the back end of 23/24, which I hold as the benchmark.

Wrote in the summer about what needed to change re control, and I’m really delighted with Zubi off the back of it.
