I think the bravest most important thing we can do in a city election year is to tell our friends the candidate they won't shut up about supporting isn't running a real campaign, it's all a distraction, this person just wanted to see their name in the newspaper.

Personally, I would love the Cowboys to hire Gruden because
1. It would be another reason to cheer against the cowboys and I am always looking for more of those, and
2. It would guarantee several more years of mediocrity for them.
There is not an obvious choice to be Dallas’ 10th head coach in franchise history.

But there are several names who could make sense, including:

◻️ Ben Johnson, Lions OC
◻️ Jon Gruden, former HC
◻️ Deion Sanders, Colorado HC

I’m higher on AI than a lot of people on the left, but this is spot on. What’s the point of a robot assistant if the can’t do the absolute most basic things to make my life easier?
My hot take on "costs of cooking vs take-out" is that you should be mad at tech companies because "prepare me a grocery list + instructions for a week of quick cost-efficient meals" is something the Earth-burning plagiarism-machine should be able to do but can't do at all, output's too unreliable.

It’s so remarkably hard to commit intentional voter fraud on any kind of scale. People can disagree with you and/or prioritize things differently than you and we’re all so diluted by the internet that it’s incomprehensible that thoughts outside our bubble exist.
Those who say a little or a lot of voter fraud happened in 2024:

All: 55%

Trump Voters: 69%
Harris Voters: 53%

If you ever needed any evidence that presidential polling four years out is just a name recognition test, this should be all the evidence you need.

Harris at 22? Hilarious.
Clinton? Really??
Democratic Presidential Polling:

Harris: 22%
Clinton: 11%
Sanders: 10%
Newsom: 7%
Buttigieg: 7%
Warren: 5%
Klobuchar: 3%
Manchin: 3%
AOC: 3%
Cuomo: 3%
Abrams: 2%
Williamson: 2%

Acceptance of all people and their beliefs is what separates America from other nations. We can be, have been, and should be a nation that will take you in if your nation of birth does not accept you. That goes for a woman who won’t hear a covering in Iran or a woman who cannot wear hijab in France.

When I interned in the Minnesota House, the rep I worked with shared staff with Mary Murphy. She was a badass who represented the best of Greater Minnesota. We could use a lot more elected officials like her.
Saddened to hear about the passing of Rep. Mary Murphy, the longest serving woman in the Minnesota legislature and a true champion for the Northland. Gwen and I are sending our love to her family.

Amazing development in Minnesota House 40B. Republicans will start session with a narrow majority because personal ambition was more important than public service. If you’re going to bend the rules to get elected at least be competent at it.

This is the kind of thing Saint Paul needs to approve a lot more of. Adding the extra story and 14 units of apartments—with extra parking for the people that think it’s important—is an unquestioned good imo. More supply means lower costs!
