They seem to think this is somehow free money that won't have any impact on the sector. It is either they don't understand the impact that it will have, or they do understand but don't care. I'm not sure which is worse, but I guess the effect of the policy doesn't change based on the reason for it

"Surely causing Swansea's economy to collapse will cause all the local far right and everyone else to vote Labour" said absolutely no one ever until Reeves and Lord Glasman, apparently.

And yet, despite having been the chief architect and champion of Brexit, Farage is polling as favourite to become the next UK PM.

LLMs trained on law libraries have been deployed widely across law firms and courts to disastrous effect b/c people vastly misunderstand their capabilities and it proves an underlying contempt for the process of justice by the very people we entrust to administer it. If you care, you do it right.
How AI is introducing errors into courtrooms
Hallucinations from AI in court documents are infuriating judges. Experts predict that the problem’s only going to get worse.

They're also haemorrhaging activists.
My hard-working and excellent local councillor was deselected because he objected to Starmer's "rivers of strangers" speech.
He was instrumental in their canvassing and nobody else seems motivated to take over and get out the vote.
