駅の階段を降りていたら、一匹の蛾がヘタって落ちていた。綺麗なので、暫く見物していたが、少しつついたら、動いた。生きていた。
ちょっと考えて、せめても、と思って、持っていた有り合わせの不要紙に載せ、改札口を出たところの草木に下ろした。
一段落して辺りを見回すと、隣のベンチに座っていたお爺さんに一部始終を見られていたようで、目が合って微笑みかけられた。
直後に後ろを振り返ったら、さっきの蛾が、もう空の高い所で羽ばたいていた。

オオミズアオが網戸に止まってて、蛾が大っっっ嫌いなママが朝から悲鳴上げてたw

「どっか遠くに！庭にある木の所に！逃がして！！！」って言われたので写真撮ったり撫でて愛でた後に逃がしましたよっと🫠

私は蛾の中でオオミズアオが1番好きです。
蚕様も好き。

先日十勝の母の庭、ヤマボウシの実と雫のついた蜘蛛の巣。
札幌の娘とやりとりするこの蛾の名前問題。マイマイガのメスかと思ったけど父ちゃんが調べたらカシワマイマイだった。どちらにせよオスが舞舞。メスはじっとしてるらしい。赤い足で白くてもふもふ。

Almost always more macro moth species than micro in each North Hampshire garden trap during July, but more NFG micros than macros overall. Yesterday continued this trend with 2 NFG micros, this Aglossa pinguinalis (Large Tabby) and also Agonopterix subpropinquella. #TeamMoth

This morning's trap had two thorns: August Thorn and Dusky Thorn. Both are fresh for the year. The August Thorn was everywhere except where I wanted him to be, so I was unable to take a picture of him. I'll have to try again later.

Aethes rubigana was the only NFG moth in the trap earlier. It's unfortunate, though, that its markings aren't more pronounced.

My 608th species of moth, recorded and photographed was the tiny, but delightful Comfrey Ermine, Ethmia quadrilella, yesterdat. It's rather different from the other micro ermines, which are white with tiny black dots and a different wing profile #teamMoth #UKMoths
