Buried inside the deal to reopen government is a provision that would give Senators private right of action to sue for millions in damages over their phone records being analyzed by Jack Smith's team.

I'm told Sen. Ted Cruz led this effort. Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats weren't consulted on the addition of this language, per a source familiar. Committee's top Dem, Dick Durbin, was among the 8 Ds who voted to advance the spending measure last night.

Meanwhile, people unconstitutionally seized or brutalized by ICE agents can’t sue them because there’s no private right of action for them to do that.

Justice Department struggles as thousands exit — and few are replaced.
The Justice Department has lost thousands of experienced attorneys and backfilled a fraction of the open jobs, in part because of a lack of qualified candidates.

What’s causing delays at Newark airport? What to know about traffic control equipment and staffing issues
Major delays and cancellations that have been plaguing travelers coming in and out of the Newark Liberty International Airport in the past week could continue well into the next week and beyond if multiple issues, including staffing shortages and equipment malfunctions, aren't solved. The Federal Aviation Administration has issued several ground delays and ground stops at the New Jersey airport, which is located just outside New York City and is among the busiest airports in the country.

I can't deny this. They've been woefully lacking in offering up a replacement healthcare plan. They don't even have a concept of a plan. Wait...does offering us money while taking away our healthcare count as a plan? FFS, sometimes I just can't. 🤣
