Very sad to learn that #JimRobson has passed away.
His was the voice of my youth, from the first time I became a #Canucks fan until his retirement. Along with #TomLarschied he called my favourite team’s games, win or lose, and always with class.
He lived a full life and was a part of many of ours.💙💚

When I was a kid, my family started as Leafs fans. We didn't move to BC until I was 2.

8 year old me was converted to being a #Canucks fan when Jim Robson made the "Greg Adams! Greg Adams!" call. It will forever be one of my favorite sports calls of all time because of that.

What a legend, RIP

If you grew up a #Canucks fan of a certain generation or two, you often fell asleep to the storytelling of Jim Robson on your radio as a child. Some may try to exceed the bar that Jim set, but I’m not certain that will ever be possible.

Jim was and will forever be my bar for sports broadcasting.

My favorite Jim Robson call is for Greg Adam's double OT winner in 94 against Felix Potvin and the Leafs.

His fandom may have leaked out a bit there, but the raw excitement and emotion from Jim and Tommy at that moment was infectious.

Jim Robson’s legacy in hockey predated the NHL. He was the play-by-play guy for the WHL Canucks too. Started his broadcasting career as a teenager in Port Alberni and never left BC.

An icon of BC sports that elevated the experience for generations.

We were lucky to have him.

Immensely sad to hear Jim Robson has died.

He was truly the voice of my youth. Many talk about ‘Greg Adams! Greg Adams!’ but I watched that game on TV so my memory of his was calling the Canucks’ OT win in ‘91 pushed them into the playoffs.

And as a writer he was always so kind and supportive.

RIP to this legend. Spent many nights as a kid listening to Canucks broadcasts on NW98 with the radio beside my bed.

He was the voice of my childhood and the voice of my ever increasing love for the Vancouver Canucks. He was a loyal Vancouverite and his legacy will be lasting in this city.
Rest in Peace Jim Robson.

“There’s heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.”

Forever a Canuck legend. Thank you, Mr. Robinson. 💙💚
Jim Robson did what he loved, was revered by a province, was the nicest man you can imagine, and two weeks ago, just after turning 91, was out smiling and watching his favourite hockey team.

May we all be so kind, lucky and blessed.

Very sad to hear the terrible news about Jim Robson. A legend in the #Canucks community.

One of my favourite Canucks moments over the past few years was hearing the Rogers Arena crowd cheer him on at his 90th birthday celebration.

I loved him. The only radio broadcaster I ever heard who would give a nightly shout out to shut-ins, the pensioners, and the blind; my brother and I once said hello and he was so nice. The voice of my childhood.
