It doesn't matter if they are ever coming for you.

It was always ever already too much that they were coming for anyone.

On my country's 249th birthday, I wrote about the problem of sharing a nation with millions of evil people, and how to live a human life in the face of overwhelming inhumanity.

Oh and the Beastie Boys make an appearance.

there is no freedom until we all are free. no freedom until we all can live with dignity, hope and aspiration.
more precious than freedom to own a bunch of guns or freedom to make a bunch of money.
Any revolution, any politic should be a fight for all to live with dignity, hope and aspiration.

Bad actors cant scam you for ur money. It seems so, but YOU click the links they send, answer the calls & YOU give your info. They put out bait (phishing, etc) but you have to take it to get scammed. You take the bait.

Same with convincing you to deny the people u hate & end up denying yourself.

Talking with my daughter a while back and realized that I only had a passing familiarity with what happened in Stonewall. That needs to change, considering the current regime in America.
If there are other works I should read happy to add them to my list.

Really something to watch who is going out of their way to support a grotesquely corrupt sex offender who recently resigned in disgrace to avoid passing the baton to the type of person they appear to find most dangerous: a skilled and positive new progressive talent.

A customer told me she couldn't believe this store would put up a Pride display, because what if children see it??

Anyway, it was my display, and I'm proud of it, and you (and your children) should all see it. #BookSky 📚💙

I’m gonna make it simple since it seems a lot of the liberals on this site right now are having trouble with this. It was illegal to protect Anne Frank and it was legally required to turn her in to the Nazis.
If your reliance on the law dictates your morals you have already lost to the fascists.

"If food is destroyed because it cannot be sold while people go hungry, that is not considered violent under the norms of capitalism. If a person’s belongings are tossed on a sidewalk during an eviction and consequently destroyed, that is likewise not considered violent..."
@prisonculture.bsky.social and I have been encouraging people to read chapter six of our book, Let This Radicalize You, which deals with the question of "violence" in social movements. We have decided to share the chapter publicly, to offer some context and grounding for the current conversation.
Protest, Power, and the Violence Debate

Solidarity is understanding how domination seeps into all corners of our present world, and then seeking to uproot it in its various, adapting forms.

We understand that the only way to fight various & adapting forms of domination is to have adapting forms of un-prescribed & studied resistance.

Question. Did democracy cease to function during the Whiskey Rebellion? The Great Railroad Strike of 1877? The May Day Riots?

Let me put this another way, can you identify a single point in U.S. history where Americans exclusively expressed themselves in an orderly fashion along acceptable lines?
I don’t care if you’re razing Kenosha, storming the Capitol, or doing whatever this is in LA, no democracy can function when every group and identity block decides it has the right and moral authority to take its specific political disagreements into the streets.
