it's important this go as viral as the original story for morale purposes if nothing else. despite the image they project these people are NOT unaccountable. consequences CAN be forced. focused anger and outrage MATTERS.

and this is why I am gritting my teeth and supporting Khalil, because fuck this unconstitutional bullshit.

The President is not a king, and he cannot personally deport a green card holder in a fit of pique
Trump takes credit for Mahmoud Khalil's arrest by ICE:

Trudeau: I want to speak first directly to the American people… your government has chosen to do this to you. Your government has chosen to put American jobs at risk. They have chosen to raise costs for American consumers on everyday essential items…

Today is National Day of Remembrance for the 120,000 Japanese Americans who were put into internment/concentration camps by an Executive Order.

This is a very real part of US history, and I can only hope that we never repeat it again, but it feels, more than before, a real possibility again.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame.

The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight.

It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

"we would never have overcome the moral stain of re-electing genocide" - you absolute fucker, *electing Donald Trump led to the most likely outcome in Gaza being ethnic cleansing*!

You feckless plant!
Jill Stein’s campaign manager just admitted what anyone with half a brain knew all along—their real mission was to help elect Donald Trump.

Fu*k Jill Stein and anyone who supported her

Bodies are still being pulled from the Potomac.

The President and extreme MAGA Republicans are blaming women and people of color for the deadly plane crash.

At the same time, they are dismantling the Federal Aviation Administration as we know it.

Disgusting.

Yep and the American people will suffer because of their malfeasance
the frenzy over the hunter biden pardon is a good reminder that the press knows how to make something a scandal and has decided that nothing trump does is truly deserving of that treatment

With more people leaving Twitter and moving to Bluesky, I feel that there are some accounts we have to preemptively block before they come crawling here to spread their vitriol. If you're a supporter of Ukraine for instance, you will want to block this particular account or add them to a block list.

Here's a Quote from a historian from my Uni days: WHAT, the past isn't alive THE PAST IS DEAD!
