I can see why some liked him but there were some real head-scratcher moments. The most annoying one was the night Marchand injured Liljegren and he said he would've done something about it but he never got the chance to go out there to settle it, despite playing multiple shifts against him afterward
we should talk more about what an absolute fucking dweed Reaves was during his leafs tenure. So many shitty little comments and interview answers. If Marner said half the shit Reaves did, people's Mitch's personality grievances would be justified

If you stop and think about it, it's kind of crazy that before the series we all said "here come the Panthers, they're going to try to injure you and be insanely dirty" and then they do exactly that. And everyone in any position to do anything about it is like haha shucks playoff hockey!

This is clearly a ref inexperience issue to me. Wes McCauley, the oft-considered best ref in the league, was the lead ref in that Leafs-Lightning game and was able to spot the Holl pick. Whoever reffed yesterday's game did not have the experience to see what Steel did here.
Once again—I thought pick plays that led to goals were penalties even in game 7???

Like it actually rules that the Leafs seem to have some historically shocking call go against them every 3-4 playoff games, basically never draw penalties, never have playoff success, and are the first team pointed to as far having the league rigged in their favour

Laughton was supposed to be the 3C, where Domi had been pretty much all year. Now he's supposed to be 4C, where Kampf has been pretty much all year.
Did they trade either of Kampf or Domi, who Laughton has been replacing? No. They paid more to retain Laughton's salary.

#Leafs prospect Ben Danford with a nice play that earned him primary assist last night. He's up to 18 points in 45 games this season, with tracking data looks better than the production does. Plays like this are an indication of some offensive ability that just isn't leading to points consistently.
