IEA's mid-year electricity review is out. Some highlights below:

First time in 100 years, renewables are set to overtake coal in global electricity production as soon as this year (or latest next year).

Wind + Solar contribution to global grid mix will reach 20% by 2026, up from 4% in 2016.
