Good morning folks! Lulu hopped on my bed to say good morning before my alarm went off. Put a little salmon pate down for her and she had a bit. (Also had to give Cody some because…Cody.) She’s in the closet resting. Does purr when petted. And spent a moment in the sun.

Nightly Lulu update: she just had some of the new dry food! Hubby and I are breathing a little easier. I did break my Target boycott to order some Churu and other special stuff for her to try tomorrow. Anything for my baby girl.

Well, Cody seems to really like the new “sensitive stomach” dry food we got for Lulu. She still hasn’t eaten but she has been walking around and was purring after some chin pets. Thankful I’m working remotely the next couple days so I can keep an eye on her.

Morning Lulu update: panicked this morning because we couldn’t find her. She was deep in my closet. She did pee in the litter box shortly after, then retreated under a bed. I made a little wet food “soup” to entice her to try and eat/hydrate.
If she doesn’t eat/drink soon, will be calling the vet.

Lulu update: She’s still in my closet resting. Husband got the appetite stimulant cream rubbed into her ear, hoping that persuades her to venture out for food/water. Got some fancy salmon broth stuff waiting for when she’s ready. Fingers crossed we don’t have to take her back in to the ER 🤞🏻😿

Lulu has relocated to one of her usual sleeping spots in my closet. Still gets growly after more than a minute of pets. I don’t think she’s had food or water yet but she was pretty ill yesterday so her system might need a little longer to recover.

Scans showed an empty digestive system, no obstructions. IV fluids given for dehydration w/anti nausea & appetite stimulant. Blood drawn. Sent home with probiotics & appetite stim & will continue steroids every other day.
They didn’t get home til 1am.

Dog peeps! A local friend [age 79] has a dog, KiChi, that needs dental surgery on 12/09. Last time it ran $500; she's on a fixed income.

Chat, please keep Lulu in your thoughts. She’d been doing good after a week on the steroids but today she threw up before we got home from work, after we were home, had a bad 💩, threw up some more. Very violently, she looked so distressed 😿 Hubs on the way to the vet now. Will update with news.

How did I not know of the existence of the film Gypsy 83 until this week? My god, younger me would have been OBSESSED. Not a Stevie Nicks super fan, but I definitely had my goth phase (still do on occasion) and current me appreciates all the struggles of Gypsy and Clive. 🖤❤️
