We are seeing a huge outbreak of COVID. This is the largest outbreak I have seen since last autumn. Most of my swabs are coming back positive. I am pleasantly surprised when it doesn't, so repeat it to find it return +ve

That implies a 12% chance that someone is infectious in a group of 30.

Measles Outbreak Victoria

5 new cases

What is the issue? Five further measles cases have been identified in Victoria. Two of these cases are locally acquired and linked to the recent local outbreak reported in February. Three cases acquired their infection overseas in Bali. These cases were infectious at multiple locations in Melbourne. Measles is a highly infectious viral illness that can lead to uncommon but serious complications, such as pneumonia and brain inflammation (encephalitis). There have been 13 cases of measles identified in Victoria in 2025, with four confirmed cases of local acquisition.
