The White House didn't think anyone was gonna pick up on the Friday Night Massacre of the tariffs on smartphones and computers.

Then they saw this 👇 post on Saturday afternoon, and went into triage mode to make it look like the whole thing was a non-event.
A story in three parts.

Canada needs to do more to combat hate. Police-reported hate crimes keep increasing year over year.

Most targeted groups continue to be Jewish, 2SLGBTQI+, & Black communities.

We need tougher laws, more education in schools, and better training for police and prosecutors.

Watching the #BlueJays opening day events. Glad to note applause and no boos for the American anthem. At least none that my TV picked up. Let there be ⚾

President Trump has for years exaggerated the size of US trade deficits with various other countries. Now, as Trump cites those trade deficits as a key justification for his tariff policies, newly released federal statistics show how wrong Trump’s numbers are. | Fact check

Yessir.
A Pete Alonso addition at this point makes #Bluejays a contender for the division title in 2025, no doubt.
Its a great gamble. Now sign Alonso.

Yep, might pay off big time while waiting the minor guys to mature a bit more, if they are out of it by trade deadline flip him and Bassit to a team that is still in the running. If they Jays are still in the running in late August early September, extra ticket sales will help the bottom line.
Nothing to lose, why not?

If Scherzer can give #Bluejays 15-20 solid starts this season, it’s a great move. Immediate strong clubhouse presence and adds another strong bullpen arm as Yariel Rodriguez should move there now.

And yet in many stores, Canadian Potatos and onions are still available. I don't think I have bought none Canadian potatoes in decades.
Every single item in these two photos comes from Mexico (most) Canada (a couple) or Costa Rica. The only American grown produce I found were onions, red cabbage, cauliflower, and potatoes.
All of this going up 25% if the tariffs come in
