Maria has been accused over the years of fabricating her story that she had gone to the FBI. After finding the document in the trove, I called her. She broke down in tears.

Thread about economy in the US.
Just went to Sam's for a few groceries.

All 4 shelves of cooked chicken were double full.

Checking out took 4 minutes.

Got a piece of pizza with no wait at the snack bar.

On the Friday night before Christmas in New Orleans.

Either Cosco is packed or we are not OK.

Economic growth has been decoupled from carbon emissions - meaning economies grew faster than emissions.
This is true of Canada too.
Canada's emissions peaked in 2007 and have declined by 15 MtC/yr while our economy grew.
Down 8 MtC/yr since 2015.

Hm yeah.
Not blaming her for entering the contest but the judges should have been better.
Amid the cascading horrors, I still have room for indignation at the Strib’s decision to award a 61 year old woman first place for their 47th annual Thanksgiving coloring contest

Alberta’s separatist leaders might be clowns, but the threat they pose with an oil-hungry administration in Washington is no joke.

It’s time for Danielle Smith to pick a lane — and stop playing both sides of an existential threat to her country. #cdnpoli

Alberta’s separatist movement is no joke
For months now, Alberta’s premier has been catering to the separatists who dominate the membership of her United Conservative Party. Their appetite just keeps growing.

Demanding healthcare for all, housing for all, safety and security from those in power, food security and education is not extreme.
Trying to stamp out freedom of expression is.
The Trump administration is now adopting the same completely deranged, apeshit definition of “extremism” that has been observed for a decade and much longer, in some cases, by e.g. the Times of London.
