NZ Green Party isn't "looney left". Their fiscal policy is pragmatic. Their alternative budget is well-researched. Their income tax policy is a match for Australia's. Their proposed wealth tax is close to Norway's successful implementation. This is a principled stand unconcerned about labels. #nzpol

It's the same logic that afflicts ACT stans here who shriek "Stop calling everything racist!" when Seymour is called out for his latest racist policy.
Attempting to dismantle tools/programmes put in place to address systemic racism is a racist act. And performing a racist act makes you racist.

This NYT sleight-of-hand is part of why Trump’s insane racism flourishes. The implication is that it’s possible to “attack diversity” WITHOUT a “racist undercurrent.”
