If you wear womenswear, Austin-based shop Daughter's is donating 100% of the profits they earn today to Kerr County Relief Fund. The money will help those Texan families who have lost everything in the tragic July 4th flood.

If you are an NC resident and voted in November, please check if your name or the names of any family areone of the 60K votes being challenged. If so, confirm ASAP with your Board of Elections. You only have two weeks.

The website to check linked in the reply.

NC Court of Appeals gives over 60,000 challenged voters 15 days to prove eligibility
The majority wrote that, even though they have the authority to completely throw out the contested ballots, they decided to instead mandate a cure period for most of the challenged voters.

As Trump attempts to re-segregate America, never lose sight of the fact that Elon Musk stands to financially benefit from the federal government no longer enforcing anti-segregation laws.

USIP owns their building. DOGE is vandalizing a building the federal government DOES NOT OWN.
After breaking into the US Institute of Peace (USIP) Monday, DOGE members immediately got to work taking down signs to erase the independent agency.

If you’re in the US, you can watch PBS for free using the app. There’s a series of documentaries called American Experience that’s really good—each is about a different event in history.

Go watch The one about the Gilded Age in season 30.

It feels so familiar, it’s genuinely eerie.

Democrats even *thinking* about joining Republicans to censure Al Green for having the courage to stand up while they sat down do not deserve to be able to generate a single fundraising dollar from a person of moral character ever again.

I worry that the focus on NOAA's weather predicting value is ignoring the millions of other ways NOAA researchers enrich communities and local economies.

There are no oysters without NOAA. There are no blue crabs without NOAA. NOAA trains teachers. NOAA is the lifeblood of coastal communities.

Cancelling @joyannreid.bsky.social means the door she held open for the next generation of Black voices will slam shut. Without her, the next her, won't get platformed by white media. That, of course, is why white media pushed her out.

Calling yourself king doesn't make you a king. Marrying the king's daughter, accusing him of crimes before the senate, throwing thim off the senate steps, having your thugs assassinate him, and watching you wife run him over with her chariot is how you become king.
Calling yourself a king doesn’t make you king. Killing your brother and marrying his wife only to be haunted by his ghost and poisoned by his son before you manage to kill him with the poisoned blade and no one is left but some bloke named Horatio is how you become king
Calling yourself a king doesn’t make you a king. Being crowned at Car Paravel with your three siblings by Aslan does.

Republicans back young man with Trump surname even though he's never said a word about *anything* in public.

So don't tell me this isn't just a mindless cult blindly associated with the name Trump.

Two very smart people who create content I enjoy came away from this with opposite views of his suggestion for other writers. So I read the article. I don't think his message was about other writers at all.
why are people reacting so weirdly to this, he's literally asking writers to infuse more complexity into their craft
This is interesting, the writer of Breaking Bad calls for more positive characters in TV fiction, after realising
Walter White is often misunderstood by fans as an aspirational, badass icon rather than an obvious monster

Not enough is being done for the black families after the LA fires. Ive partnered up with GoFundMe and the BMAC to create ONE main GoFundMe campaign to immediately help those in need.

dasher | noun | one that dashes
dancer | noun | one that dances
prancer | noun | one that walks or moves in a spirited manner

Ok, those three are easy to understand.
