A young man in the Germantown neighborhood was shot in the face this morning and died. His body was left out in the street for HOURS, apparently because the morgue was full. How much more must our city endure until Mayor Parker finally does right by the striking workers? 6abc.com/amp/post/ret...

Fascists can write “we’re going to give 700 quadrillion dollars to the Gestapo to build a new concentration camp in every city” on paper and there’s little we can do to stop that.

The infrastructure that makes it actually real passes by and through us.

That, we can and will stop.

I started hand sewing a tiny tote for the young human. The fabric was found in the free bin at our local thrift store. Perfect size for holding the odd sticks and rocks found on walks.

The young human requested “no kid seat”. We’re trialing it with a ride to our neighborhood library, and then to grab some groceries . #terngsd

These bike Friday cargo slings have served us well, but I’m excited to put them into storage. We stopped by our LBS today and picked up a storm box. Can’t wait to get it set up! #terngsd #cargobike

Love is a quality of attention, a sensitivity to the world and everything that is possible in it.

When we fight on the basis of what we love, rather than in service of ideology or cowardice, we open ourselves to serve as a channel through which everything beautiful in the world can defend itself.

the fascists are looking to rigidly define gender not just to punish trans people like they claim but to lay the groundwork for the oppression of all women. when gender is legally mutable, it is harder to use it to restrict people’s rights.

(4/4) TLDR: capitalism is a death cult and children are some of the greatest teachers.

(3/4) And those needs don’t change as we age! Capitalism expects you to sacrifice everything that makes you human in exchange for the perceived value of your labor.

(1/4) As my kid is deep in their 3rd year of life, I find myself constantly reflecting on how a child’s biological needs along with their developmental interests really make it glaringly clear how unnatural capitalism is.
