Apparently this is the month where all the really old/obscure 90s PC games I played when I was like 8 go on sale on Steam for less than a dollar. I've picked up Sheep and Starship Titanic for 89¢ each. Now I'm just trying to think of what other stuff buried in my memory I could find.

You know I've talked for a long time about how I always prefer physical media to a digital download, but the Switch 2 Key Card stuff has made me realize that at some point I just stopped thinking of digital downloads as having value at all.

Got to be one of the beta testers for @retrodotcards.com's upcoming release "pixel pup"! Just finished the puzzles and got to enjoy this nice little thank you! The game is really well done, and separating the engine and the puzzles to separate cards is very clever!

Yeah, this all tracks, mostly. Someone care to explain why it has apparently taken me as at least 10 hours longer to finish GAA1 and half the intro to GAA2 as it did the entire original Ace Attorney trilogy? No wonder it took so many sessions!

Finally assembled my Mega Man model kit last night. As part of that I looked up a bunch of official Mega Man art to remember which arm is supposed to be his cannon arm (I remembered him being "left handed"). Turns out both Mega and Proto Man are fully ambidextrous.

So I believe this makes two true physical games for Switch 2 at under $70 now? Sounds like whatever costs problems there were (if any) that forced $70 prices on them is gone.

Fun fact: my first exposure to @tomska.bsky.social's ASDFMovie was a flip note animation using the "I ate your pony" skit audio, but with the characters from The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I wish more flip note stuff got backed up on YouTube, there's so many that still love in my head.

I've just been reminded that I still regularly miss-spell the word "hamster" as "hampster" because of a meme that's literally older than I am.... The internet has done weird things to my brain.

So the new "Deluxe Pack EX" in #PokemonTCGPocket is actually kinda terrible. Or rather, its pull rates are.
First problem: Only 4 cards. They try to make it sound like that's because you're "guaranteed" a ♦️♦️♦️♦️ "or higher" so it off sets the missing card, but that's not as good as it sounds.

Well this looks interesting at least, not sure if it will really fix my problems with modem Yu-Gi-Oh (way too focused on stopping your opponent from playing the game rather than toolboxing a number of interesting responses), but I might dust off a deck or two of my locals support it well.

Wizards of the Coast is almost certainly in a position where they could release an officially licensed Middle Earth setting/expansion book for D&D if they wanted to (they've done a MTG set), but I suspect they're intentionally avoiding it because it would force the halfling issue.
