I just finished recording the next episode of One Piece at a Time with Brandon. The raw audio is nearly 2 hours and 30 minutes long. I don't see it getting much shorter than that because we were on fire and, just, damn. 966-970 is so SO good.

Over 300 votes so far! I tried to take as many genres into account without making it so exact that it becomes less likely to be voted on. For example, I'd consider most Soulslikes to be Action RPGs. But that's the tricky thing about genre. Not all agree and they can be fluid with all the blending.

Over 300 votes so far! I tried to take as many genres into account without making it so exact that it becomes less likely to be voted on. For example, I'd consider most Soulslikes to be Action RPGs. But that's the tricky thing about genre. Not all agree and they can be fluid with all the blending.

Part of me is tempted to make my next retrospective on Nihon Falcom but that is such a massive endeavor that the SMT Retrospective is child’s play. They are literally one of the origin points of action RPGs with Xanadu but Japanese PC games just don’t have the same reach as console histories.

Just finished recording the reaction discussion. There's stuff to be excited for: Orbitals, Adventures of Elliot, Kyoto Xanadu, but there wasn't anything universally exciting. This is a case of niche fans being served...especially in Japan. Please please please localize the Goemon collection Konami!

There’s been a solid amount of votes so far but not huge. And that’s to be expected considering we don’t have a Rolodex of shut down studios committed to memory.
