In the summer there’s one set up by Peavey Plaza, which also has staff for the plaza. Wonder what their experience has been. I’ve used it and it’s a good set up. But it currently is removed in the fall when it gets colder.

And also - we library workers who check bathrooms are absolutely prepared to find people dying or not alive in them... It is something that most of my coworkers have experienced. All this to say... Unionize anyone who monitors the Much Needed public restrooms.

The policies of how to monitor a restroom is as important as installing the restrooms. Will people be forced out after a certain amount of time? Currently we have ppl who will use a restroom for up to 2 hours and beyond checking on them, we can't force them out.

Because they require monitoring - it will likely mean more policing in many ways. Currently security deals with the problems (except in my current branch bc staff do). Will police be policing public restrooms? This question needs to be addressed.
