A question for Bishop Bird, of Ballarat, who instructed his lawyers to go all the way to High Court to avoid paying damages to a complainant of child sexual abuse on basis that priests aren’t technically employed by his diocese:

The VCAA response to this has been pathetic - an indictment of management, the education department and a tired government. The announcement of another enquire to begin NEXT YEAR is a can being kicked down the road while our students put up with an unjust system.
