Why yes, you could pronounce @tblive.bsky.social 'to be alive.' No, it isn't an accident.
What is the strangest reread comfort book you have? Most of my comfort rereads are from my teen years, honestly. But I just found a new one at 43, and I was kinda surprised at myself. What's your latest comfort reread? #booksky #read

Well shit.
Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Good news, family! The USDA has confirmed that SNAP benefits will be fully funded for November. This came after a federal judge rejected the Trump admin’s plan to offer partial funds for food aid. Food should never be a negotiating tool, and I am glad to see the USDA work to comply with court order.

Very tight budget before my seasonal day job starts again. Some of this week's 'use what I have and don't try to be a domestic diva' budget meals. It's been real but really tasty. I think returning to how I grew up cooking and eating relieved so much stress I'm even losing weight. Who knew? 🤷‍♀️😅

As it so happens, a story idea might start coming to a person long before it actually becomes written.
Or told, in this case. This post is for paid subscribers or for purchase as a one-off. #writing #oralstorytelling #indigenousfuturism

In a world of #MMIW, "The Real Fight" begins as a carchase and fistfight in the badlands dust between a spine-tingling stranger and a local iyeska woman. Each chapter of this indigenous futurism novel is published monthly as a Zine with Oceti Sakowin Oyate mixed-media arts & crafts.

My God, it feels so good to have writing deadlines to hit again. Every time I feel like those calf ropers: swoop, knot, hands up in the air! DONE! This is for a private group project, so I know when I hit send, people are gonna read it. 😅

I love how society is so terrified of intuition that it's immediately associated with not just witches but now serial killers. The latter is the more PC scapegoat apparently.

So many want an individual hero or savior. In religion. In politics. In celebrity. Is this universal or more pronounced in this individualist society?

Between this and the other post about Halloween, yes, it was a busy weekend full of family, fun, treats & ancestors. I even went back to church for the first time in over a year. More importantly, I finally articulated why the fuck I bother with it all anyway.

Community Organizer Obama is the been-there-done-that presidential troll we didn't know we needed. #newjersey #itsabouttime #hope
Obama: "The weird videos of a US president with a crown on his head flying a fighter jet & dumping poop on American citizens - that's not even worth booing about. Because all of that is a distraction from the fact that your situation, your life has not gotten better. They do it so you won't notice"

Good morning, America. This is you:

"Indian Wars were the original ‘forever wars’. They set the precedent for preemptive, unilateral, and so-called ‘defensive’ wars against peoples and nations the US deemed outside the bounds of ‘civilization’.

Thune's freak-out last night pisses me off, but not just him and the Cult of Orange Caesar. Hey, Democrats, occur to you that when you demonized populism in any form, you didn't just keep Progressives out of power, but handed the keys to the Orange Caesar and Cult?

I've hit many a #writing deadline but few have felt as satisfying as the Oyate-focused 100s piece I did today for a new project. I'm not saying it was great writing even, but I put the work into it and came up with something solid hours before my deadline.
