Very tight budget before my seasonal day job starts again. Some of this week's 'use what I have and don't try to be a domestic diva' budget meals. It's been real but really tasty. I think returning to how I grew up cooking and eating relieved so much stress I'm even losing weight. Who knew? 🤷♀️😅

He even ended up with $22 cash. I don't know the politics of any of those people, and I don't need to. This mama is simply GRATEFUL. And humbled. We are all in this thing together. At the end of the day, we all have far more in common with one another than with anyone in DC. #solidarity 🙏🎃🍬🎄👻🧹

Sometimes I crack myself up with the shit my main character says in my novel. Wrote a few hundred words tonight after migrating my novel into @novlr.org for better organization. This September, I commit to giving myself over to the feral joy of writing...furiously, as well as consistently.

Sometimes I forget how beyond cool and accomplished my writer friends are. @kimtallbear.bsky.social made time for a cup of coffee with me, today, during her travels and I referred to this book that I then remembered quoted her work. She hadn't heard of it, so I found it to share here.

This is beyond racial profiling, but I appreciate the Episcopal Diocese of South Dakota for believing those targeted that this is a scary situation that requires all of us to stand together. We can argue semantics later.

I was born to a 5th gen pioneer #hifromsd settler mom whose own people in part were in the colonies before the Revolution. She gave birth to me on my Dad's reservation where I'm enrolled. I'm as American as it gets but now I'm maybe not a citizen?! acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:...
