Comments on last night: 1. I hope everyone affected gets the help they need and knows they are in everyone's thoughts. 2. To those saying "the EF5 drought broke" your tackiness is showing. People died. People lost everything. Grow up. #blueskywx

“It was a bust”

Nope. Multiple significant tors and fatalities occurred with at least 37 tornado reports so far.

Just because you didn’t get your disaster porn in a heavily populated area doesn’t mean the forecast was a bust. Some of y’all need therapy.

Dry cap vs. wet cap

Just because there's CIN does not mean storms will be elevated. In fact, the left profile supports only surface-based storms (given enough dynamic forcing). The right profile supports elevated storms, given buoyant parcels above the boundary layer.

Support for NOAA and the NWS from not just within the US, but also abroad. Thank you to those who reached out asking to put their words of support on the wall.

Why have Mesonet sites in every county...today is a perfect example! Cimarron county in the Panhandle is currently in the 60s (and bracing for fire weather conditions) while its neighbors only ONE county to the east are below freezing and dealing with freezing fog. #okwx #okmesonet

With SB 158 passing its first major hurdle, I think people need to revisit this wonderful video by
@CarlyAnnaWX. Despite this video's tough subject, the first section of this video discusses the importance of storm chasing and why SB 158 shouldn't pass.

No writer is a failure until they are dead. Full stop. A career in writing is built over decades. It's built like a house, brick by brick, book by book. Not published yet? Emphasis on YET. Book not selling? It's not selling YET. You're only done when you quit.

And I don't think you're ready to quit
