The Mesonet sites at Beaver and Eva tied Buffalo, Frederick, and Hollis (all from 1939) for the highest temperature ever recorded on a Dec. 11 in Oklahoma, dating back to the 1880s. Several other sites also broke their location's records as well. #okwx #okmesonet

What a difference a year makes, right? The first 18 days of Nov. 2024 had already eclipsed the record for wettest full-November on record dating back to 1895. Fast-forward to this year, the first 18 days are the DRIEST on record. That should change starting tonight. #okwx #okmesonet

Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing drought. Rain chances go up...WAY UP on Wednesday and Thursday. More record highs possible today. Temperatures will come back to more seasonable territory with the rain, at least. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet
