The only snow you'll see this Christmas is your Uncle Fred's dandruff. Simply put, it's (probably) gonna be the warmest Christmas Day in Oklahoma history, dating back to the 1880s. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Even as we face a cold front moving through today that will just drop us back to normal, we look ahead to what might end up as the warmest Christmas Day on record in Oklahoma. Check the deets in today's Ticker! ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

IYKYK, right Norman? There's a possibility most of us don't see more moisture until 2026. Let's hope that pattern changes in a hurry as we are on pace for the driest December on record! ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

We get to open a present early...a spring preview on the last weekend before Christmas! No snow, sorry. Complain and you'll get a lump of coal instead. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

The last 2 weeks December looks positively balmy. You know we'll pay for it eventually! In the past, that New Year's Day has been prime territory for payback. #okwx #okmesonet

With further adewpoint, we present the Extremely Extreme Mesonet Extremes of 2025! Some doozies on there, check out the Ticker as we drill in on each listed. Do you see any of those close to you? What's your favorite (or least favorite)? ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Ugh, Santa's gonna be sweaty unless the weather pattern changes! #okwx #okmesonet

The Mesonet sites at Beaver and Eva tied Buffalo, Frederick, and Hollis (all from 1939) for the highest temperature ever recorded on a Dec. 11 in Oklahoma, dating back to the 1880s. Several other sites also broke their location's records as well. #okwx #okmesonet

We're building another dry spell approaching about 3 weeks now. Drought continues to spread. No help looks likely in the next 7-14 days. Bah humbug! ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

There's still hope for a pattern change before Christmas, but it isn't looking good until then. That's okay, you'll get your winter next March and April, right after summer starts in February! ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Hey, it ain't much, but it's better than 30s! More 60s during the week starting tomorrow before another arctic front this weekend. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

For those that want our current wintry snap to go away, don't worry, help is on the way! For those that want another batch of snow, prepare for a long wait. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Low confidence in this forecast, but given what happened on Monday with just a bit of freezing drizzle/rain, it's best to be prepared! *CLICK FOR EMBIGGENATION* ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

I miss summer already! You know, what we had from April through most of November? Just a few days ago we were in the midst of our 6th-warmest fall on record. Oh well, we can use the moisture, I guess? Check out our November/Fall summary in today's Ticker! ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Everybody knows by now about the possible wintry weather into early December? Well, if not, there's this. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Hopefully we see some erasing of these colors next week after severe/extreme drought continued to expand in Oklahoma. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

What a difference a year makes, right? The first 18 days of Nov. 2024 had already eclipsed the record for wettest full-November on record dating back to 1895. Fast-forward to this year, the first 18 days are the DRIEST on record. That should change starting tonight. #okwx #okmesonet

Rain chances go up tonight into tomorrow before ending on Friday, then we try and do the whole thing over again early next week. Been awhile, those wet things falling from the sky are raindrops, don't be scared (unless you're under birds). ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

Confidence is growing for a much colder weather pattern for the Great Plains area around Thanksgiving and into the first week of December. Way too early to get a read on precipitation, however. 'tis the season! #okwx #okmesonet
November 18, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Ho hum, another November day in Oklahoma, another batch of near or record-breaking high temperatures! We'll do it again tomorrow. Oklahoma weather doing Oklahoma things. #okwx #okmesonet
November 17, 2025 at 9:53 PM
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing drought. Rain chances go up...WAY UP on Wednesday and Thursday. More record highs possible today. Temperatures will come back to more seasonable territory with the rain, at least. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

That 94 recorded by the Tipton Mesonet site on Saturday tied for the second-highest temperature ever recorded during November in Oklahoma! Tops are the 95s recorded by the Hollis Mesonet site back on Nov. 7, 2023, and also at Coalgate on Nov. 1, 1937. #okwx #okmesonet
November 16, 2025 at 7:15 PM
It can get HOT in November, including today which saw temps soar close to 90 in SW OK. Getting closer to that all-time record high for the state of 95 set at Hollis back on Nov. 7, 2023 (also in Coalgate on Nov. 1, 1937). Tomorrow might be the day? #okwx #okmesonet
November 15, 2025 at 12:26 AM
*IF* the temperatures outkick the forecast by a few degrees, some places in Oklahoma could see their all-time highest November temperatures ever recorded Saturday! Oklahoma weather doing Oklahoma things again. ticker.mesonet.org #okwx #okmesonet

You'll believe it when we see it, then we'll tell you to believe it. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR LOTS OF RAIN LATE NEXT WEEK! #okwx #okmesonet
