15+ years old, but still VERY relevent — and if we had acted 15 years ago, the “better world” we’d be creating would be a LOT better & easier to reach. There are real consequences we’re just starting to see to not heeding this cartoon a lot sooner. Even worse if we don’t heed it now. #ClimateCrisis

Yup! And this is why communication studies are going to be tantamount. It’s not just talking it is literally the ability to construct and deconstruct messaging looking for giveaways as to tone, political spin and power dynamics not just in what is being said, but who is saying it.
As a curriculum designer, I’ve had to reassess my approach to helping students do research. I’ve taken for granted that there are good sites. Many curricula say .gov sites are gold standard, but I can’t in good conscience tell students or teachers that this is true. We have to go deeper than that.
