"Organ tuners make brief records of their visits and often jot down observations, including the temperature and humidity inside the building. Materials within organs are sensitive to climatic changes, which can knock the majestic instruments out of tune."

Moth Advent 19. It’s rare when the highlight of an evening isn’t a lifer, but so it was on the late August evening on the Norfolk fen. To be fair it’s hard for almost any moth to top a Clifden Nonpareil, especially when you’ve never previously had one in the trap. Just a monster! #TeamMoth

More calories, fewer nutrients, possible increase in lead, changing weather patterns, more intense weather events - the misleading "CO2 is plant food" was always a flimsy argument at best #FoodSecurity #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis

As a man, nothing will turn you into a radical feminist faster than the first time you're shown the twitter mentions and DM requests of literally any woman on the internet.

We don't need a Joe Rogan of the left. We need Bryan to see what his sister's LinkedIn Message Requests folder looks like.

It’s really remarkable how thin the bench of climate change deniers is and how deep the poverty of their arguments. They haven’t come up with anything new in decades and can only fall back on conspiracies to explain their lack of success.

For those within traveling distance of #Dartmoor, this #nature & #folklore event is coming up in Chagford soon: a talk with Dartmoor historian & guide Emma Cunis, with art by Gina Hemery. Emma's people have lived on the moor for generations; her knowledge of this land is deep and wise.
