Yeah, this. An AI 'response' scrapes internet content according to algorithms programmed by people. 60-70% of responses have been shown to be faulty in some way or outright wrong, yet more & more ppl choose AI answers over e.g. Wikipedia.

The really confusing thing about AI is that so many people think it is actually intelligent when all it does is give out the opinions that have been programmed into it.

It's true - ppl often don't know what others are going thru. For me, long term (35yr) GAD & depression have been retriggered by recent events and growing fears about being in various places as a trans person. My hope lies in building communities of mutual support, so this post feels really fitting.
I'm having a rough go of it lately, and have been thinking: everyone is going through something, and you have no idea what it is, or how it's affecting them.
