As a rainforest forms naturally all around this boulder, so do the more sheltered, humid conditions allow a rich bed of mosses and other plants to recolonise.

Continual nature loss is not inevitable: the reverse is equally possible.

If Farage wins the next election, it will be down to one person. His name is Keir Starmer.
This thread explains why.
1. Destroying faith in democracy. The UK decisively voted out the Tories, only for Starmer to give us a Continuity Tory government, shamefully beholden to economic power.

It's not asylum seekers who jack up rents, undermine the NHS, hold down wages and keep people insecure.
It's capital.
The role of the far right is to shift the blame for decades of economic attacks by the rich and powerful onto powerless people who have only just arrived here.

I will not vote for any party that doesn’t firmly and unequivocally commit to building universal social housing by a state agency. If your party’s housing plan involves tinkering around the edges of planning/incentives/regulations or relies on developers or “the market”, you won’t get a vote from me

In 2001, as the Terrorism Act 2000 came into force, I warned that it could be used to ban non-violent protest groups and imprison those who support them. Government spokespeople and cheerleaders told me I was talking rubbish.
And here we are.

Remember how the BBC platformed & normalised far right extremists from Tufton St, never once asking them who pays them or where the supposed ‘institutes’ & ‘alliances’ members were? That wasn’t ‘free speech’, that was the platforming & legitimising of criminality*

The BBC has chosen censorship over art. It is not a public service, it is State TV for the UK govt. Kneecap, as artists, are being censored for their agitprop. If you believe in freedom of speech, then a band, fully aware of the violence of the Union Jack & flags must be allowed raise this debate.

Vast cost overruns are not due to good design. They are due to no design.

Cats can be considered a category of invasive species: collectively, the latter are second from the top as a driver of biodiversity loss globally.

Keeping pet cats indoors solves the problem.
Honestly, is this a top-priority risk to wildlife?
For the times that we're in, is it in the top 5?
