I just finished reading the novel Conclave and I’m not sure how I feel. Like really could have simply enjoyed the movie it’s exactly the same. A truly flawless adaption, felt the same way about fight club (though in that case the movie is far superior to the book)

Unwarranted regionalism: there was no regional scripts in the Philippines. Everything is baybayin. Most analysis of writing in the country note that these supposed distinct regional writing are indistinguishable from differences in handwriting.

Quite a lot of Filipinos mistakenly think that the Latin alphabet was imposed on us by the Spaniards, leading to the loss of the baybayin and allied scripts. That isn't really the case. We adopted the Latin script, or more accurately, our language grew out of baybayin.

In case you aren't aware, the Philippine military declared yesterday that we will be involving ourselves in anything that will happen in Taiwan. This is after the US announced the sale of a new set of fighter jets to the AFP and the placement of the US of a ballistic missile system on Luzon.
America is formenting insane war fever here in the Philippines. They just keep lusting for blood to the destruction of the rest of the world. If the world truly wants peace, America needs to be wholly dismantled.
