Now that the popularity of R&B and hiphop is cooling off and OPM is becoming popular in the Philippines again, I see these Tiktoks by FilAms and upper class Filipinos that they hated the songs their parents used to play (Eraserheads and Rivermaya) but now they love them. Pissed me off.

Just a random Ppop rant: I've noticed that when Ppop songs top the charts, the Ppop stan discourse is "OPM is rising." Now that it's a band again on top, the phrasing has shifted to "OPM resurgence." One of these clearly has more respect for the history of OPM.

There are people still denying the extent of deforestation in Cebu Island. In 2004, rampant illegal logging in Quezon killed 2000 people. The residents there now actively prevent logging by fellow residents and outsiders. Cebu needs its residents to undertake a large scale reforestation drive.
