Who do I have to bribe over at Midsomer Murders to get Betty to call Winters “Uncle Jamie” at least once?

Everyone pray for your friends in west and central Texas-it was below 40f when we got up this morning and our bodies were terribly confused.

Why do so many X-Men: Age of Revelation spoilers sound like someone made a huge board of rage bait ideas and they built the “event” around throwing darts at it?

Have they considered getting Jubilee to send Logan through a wall and monologue at him? It worked last time an Apocalypse brainwashed him.

There's something wild to me about the fact that 3 versions of Jubilee & Sunspot have had some kind of close relationship and she's currently living in the same house as his cousin in Uncanny X-Men, but I don't think the characters have ever had a direct interaction in the main universe in 40 years

Marvel is never going to stop trying to recreate the energy and oomph of the original Age of Apocalypse, is it?

So many people on Facebook are so very eager to make sure everyone knows they don’t care that Taylor Seift and Travis Kelce are engaged that I saw several people announcing they don’t care before I found out they actually are engaged and it wasn’t some strange new meme.

I’m enjoying how much the Fantastic Four trailers are leaning into the “first family” aspect

I’ve become a bit addicted to Korean daily dramas in the last year or so and while I appreciate “rich people get away with stupid choices because they can throw money at people” as a trope, the aunt in #queenshouse has to be the most monumentally stupid character I’ve come across in one so far.

A lot don’t seem to understand that for most of the parts of Texas that were flooded this week, heavy rain/flood warning means about 3-6 inches, usually over a period of days. This part of Texas spends most of the year under a drought warning.

It seems Abbott and Patrick are slightly turning on each other. Not at "Where's my popcorn" levels but a girl can hope.

My work here is done
President Trump is leveraging his role as commander-in-chief in a much clearer and more urgent way than during his first term — whether that’s showing off the military in a parade or using it to quell protests.
From Los Angeles to Washington, Trump leans in as commander in chief
On one coast, military forces are arriving by the thousands to defend federal buildings and agents. On the other, they’re readying a celebration of American military might.

Whoever told BBC that Agatha Christie adaptations need to be adjusted to “everyone is awful” the them terrible advice. I mean I guess for BBC not terrible since they do well enough to keep making them like that.

The new Fear Street movie had a dull start but was fun once it got going. Would probably have been better with the same director and writers as the others though-it didn’t seem sure what to do with the mythology from the trilogy.

Free Pizza Hut pizzas for Bookit was probably one of the most genius marketing things ever because what parent is sitting there hungry while their kid dug into the pizza that was the temperature of molten lava as a reward for reading?

I just flashed back to almost 25 years ago when there were a few articles about how Supernatural was reclaiming the horror genre for men after Buffy.
"Excitement and energy around new and adventurous fiction is around female authors. This is... a timely corrective."

Meanwhile, w/in the last 10 years, men have won (for fiction!):

- 8 Pulitzers
- 6 National Book Awards
- 7 Bookers

Corrective of WHAT, my guy.
